What Is an Implant Crown?
A dental implant has two main components: the implant fixture (the titanium post placed surgically into the jawbone) and the crown (the tooth-shaped restoration that sits on top). At Victoria Family Dental Centre, we provide the crown and restoration portion of implant treatment. Once your implant fixture has been placed by an oral surgeon and has fully integrated with the bone, we take over to complete your smile with a custom-fitted crown.
What to Expect
We'll take a digital scan or impression of the implant site and design a crown that is carefully colour-matched and shaped to blend naturally with your surrounding teeth. The crown is then attached to the implant abutment and adjusted for fit and bite. The result looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth.
Working With Your Surgeon
If you are in the process of planning implant treatment, we are happy to coordinate with your oral surgeon to ensure the restorative phase goes smoothly. We work with surgeons across the Victoria area.
